General Dynamics Headquarters

Hopke recently completed construction of the General Dynamics Headquarters in Reston, VA. The Fortune 500 aerospace and defense contractor built a new 160,000 square foot headquarters on a 21 acre site for its 175 employees off the Dulles Toll Road. General Dynamic’s CEO called the new headquarters a “jewel box in the woods” due to the fact that 84% of the site will remain open space. Hopke worked on the project for HITT Contracting. Hopke provided all of the wet utility infrastructure on the project including 475 LF of sanitary main with 4 sanitary structures, 3,500 LF of storm main with 2 StormCapture detention vaults, a bioretention pond, 52 storm structures, 2 Jellyfish, and 1,400 LF of water main.
