Dulles Runway 01C

Hopke recently completed construction of the new sanitary sewer outfall serving Washington Dulles International Airport in conjunction with the Reconstruction of North Runway 1C-19C and Associated Taxiways Y, Y2, Y3, Y4, and Y5. The new sanitary sewer involved replacing the existing 24” sewer outfall with a new 36” sewer running under the newly constructed runway and taxiways. Hopke worked on the project for Atlantic Contracting and MWAA. Hopke provided all of the wet utility infrastructure on the project including a 24/7 sanitary bypass of the existing main, 1,300+ LF of sanitary main with 4 sanitary structures, and 1600+ CY of CLSM backfill under the runways.
