Iron Mountain’s VA-2 data center is a recently completed Hopke project in Manassas, VA. The Washington Business Journal recently shared the announcement from Iron Mountain about the expansion of their Prince William County campus. Iron Mountain announced that the second data center on its campus would be a $225M investment that offers 310,000 SF and 32 MW of capacity and will be home to 50 new employees. This data center will be powered by 100% renewable energy. Hopke worked with The Anderson Company and Holder Construction to perform all of the wet utility infrastructure on the new data center. Hopke’s scope included 1000+ LF and 30+ structures of storm sewer, an extensive roof drain network, 1200+ LF of new water and fire line, and a sanitary lateral to the new data center.
