W.B. Hopke Finishes Project at Ovation at Arrowbrook Apartments in Herndon, VA

It’s always very satisfying to wrap up a long-term project successfully. W.B. Hopke recently completed the final punch list for Ovation at Arrowbrook Apartments located at 13325 Fairfax Ridge Avenue in Herndon, VA. Construction at the new apartment community is almost complete with some apartments already leased and occupied. The six-story, mixed-use affordable apartment community has 274 units including 55 three-bedroom units, 15 handicap-accessible units and 38,000 square feet of community retail space.

The wet utilities contract was awarded to Hopke on January 22, 2021. The general contractor for this project is CBG Building Company. The majority of Hopke’s work was performed during 2022 and included water, sanitary and storm installation. Hopke installed 885 LF of sanitary main, 2153 LF of storm and 950 LF of water line. The project was mostly routine except for some tricky coordination and congestion issues working around other trades on site. The final work included making some adjustments to the clean outs and matching curves to the valve boxes.
