Hopke Completes Wet Utilities Project – Hazel & Azure at National Landing in Arlington, VA

W.B. Hopke would like to thank general contractor Balfour Beatty for selecting W.B. Hopke Company for the Hazel & Azure project at National Landing located at 3030 Potomac Ave, Arlington VA. The residential project, still under construction, provides for 491 residential units and 6,800 square feet of retail space in the heart of Crystal City.
The wet utilities project that began on May 11, 2023 was completed in late 2024 and included water, sanitary and storm work, specifically, (2) water/fire services with meter vaults. Sanitary included (4) sanitary sewer laterals (1) doghouse structure and the storm work included (2) jellyfish with outfall piping, (2) storm structures, 15″ RCP road crossing, and a roof drain. The biggest challenge was the installation of dual jellyfish systems and the meter vaults.
